Bull on the Beach

History

Once upon a time a husband and wife named Phil and Marie had a vision.  Phil, having successfully thought up the idea of an “open pit” took his wife and children from Baltimore to Ocean City in hopes of opening a restaurant where he could display the Pit in an open kitchen.

The first Bull on the Beach opened May 28, 1980 on the Boardwalk.  Through the years we have had the pleasure of working with dedicated staff and loyal customers–all who have helped with the success of the business.  The Bull has seen a few different locations, all offering delicious menu options and fun times.  Currently, there are 2 locations in Ocean City.

Our Boardwalk location still exists on 2nd street, but is moving down just a few doors and will be opening in the Park Place Hotel.  This will provide much more seating for our boardwalk adventurers as well as an outdoor bar/seating providing a beautiful view of the Ocean City Boardwalk and The Atlantic Ocean.

The 94th Street Bull is located up North and just a block off the beach.  Regulars frequent here for indoor or outdoor seating and for some fun times in the Bar.  Sunday nights are pretty popular as the infamous DJ Wax shows off his skills as you dance the night away.

Bull on the Beach also has a sister restaurant in West Ocean City.  Crab Alley steams up some pretty delicious crabs and fresh seafood from the harbor.  As a whole, we are all heavily involved in the community.  From Golf Tournaments to Crab & Bull Roasts to The Annual Penguin Swim we always enjoy these fun times with you and being able to donate all money raised back to our local hospital, Atlantic General, in Berlin, MD.

The Bull’s “Phil”osophy has always been simple, a three legged stool: “GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE AND A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT TO ENJOY IT IN.”

We hope you continue to enjoy your time with us as we have always enjoyed our time with you!  We look forward to another successful, fun summer.
